Evening walks to Stonehenge

The Wiltshire Heritage Museum is organizing a series of evening walks at Stonegenge, led by WHM director, David Dawson. This is a wonderful opportunity to inspect (but no touching) and photograph (for non-commercial purposes) the stones closely, and see the inscriptions, including the famous 'daggers' believed to date from prehistoric times. During the visit Mr Dawson will point out the main features of the circle, the cycle of its construction and rebuilding during the Bronze Age. At te same time you will be allowd to aander at will inside the circle and enjoy the landscape.
The first visit is scheduled at 8:45 PM, Wednesday, 8 June 2011, and there will be another evening visit on 13 July from 8.30 PM. Full tickets are £19 (adults) and £12 (children 5-15). There is also a reduced rate for National Trust and English Heritage members (please quote membership number when booking) - Adults £16.50, Children £10.50. If booking on-line, please send your membership number via e-mail.
Booking is essential: please contact the Bookings Secretary (Tel: 01380 727369 - 10 AM to 5 PM Monday to Saturday) or send an email to wanhs@wiltshireheritage.org.uk
